This is how you sign Project in American Sign Language.

Description

"To sign "Project" in American Sign Language (ASL), place the "P" handshape of the dominant hand near the bottom edge of the non-dominant hand, as if you are projecting something off the surface of your non-dominant hand. Move the "P" handshape of your dominant hand forward and slightly upward, as if projecting something. Change the "P" handshape to a "J" handshape and continue the movement forward and slightly upward, mimicking the action of projecting something forward.
