To sign "While" in American Sign Language (ASL), extend your index finger and thumb at right angles to form an "L", then move the thumb up and down while it rests against the palm of your other hand, which is held flat and facing towards your 'L' hand.
To sign "While" in American Sign Language (ASL), form an "L" handshape with your dominant hand, placing the thumb against the palm of your non-dominant hand. Then, twist your dominant hand downward so the index finger points down.
