"To sign "saw" in American Sign Language (ASL), first sign "see." Use your dominant hand to form the letter "V" (index and middle fingers extended and separated, with other fingers folded down). Place the tip of your index finger near your eye, with your palm facing toward you. Move your hand slightly away from your eye. Then sign "finish." Use both hands in a "5" handshape (fingers spread wide), held in front of you with palms facing up. Move your hands outward and slightly upward."
