To sign “Can't” in American Sign Language (ASL), extend your right index finger slightly above and to the right of your left index finger, both hands palm down. As your head sways horizontally from left to right in a repeated motion, swiftly lower your right hand to tap the fingernail of your left index finger with the fingertip of your right index finger.
