To sign "Basic" in American Sign Language (ASL), position both hands in the "B" handshape, which is a flat hand with fingers together and extended. Your non-dominant hand should be held horizontally, palm down, at chest level. Then, move your dominant hand in a small circular motion beneath the non-dominant hand.
